We are working assiduously behind the scenes and this website is our prime means of communicating with you. So far, below is just a copy of the initial letter sent out.
Proposed new Educational Organisation for General Practice and HSE Clinicians
We are writing to seek your backing for a new organisation supporting those dentists who at present provide 90% of dental treatment in Ireland.
- A selection of verifiable continuing professional development courses (CPD).
- A range of authoritative publications on the above.
- A framework of clinical governance and best practice, combining evidence based clinical standards and a range of criteria for clinical audit.
- An exam structure and career pathway for primary care professionals.
It is hoped that the new Irish Faculty will attract support fro.m many of our existing dental organisations and enhance the good work already being done by these bodies.
If you are interested in making a change and becoming a member of this organisation please express your interest by contacting us by 31 July 2008, if at all possible.
